The Mountain of Giving program and Griz for Kids Toy Drive

The Mountain of Giving is a community-wide effort to raise money and donations of new toys for children in need at the holidays, sponsored, organized, and coordinated by the Mountain of Giving Foundation (a 501c3).  For twenty-four years we have been privileged to use our Mountain of Giving program to make sure children in need experience the joy of the holidays.

The Griz for Kids Toy Drive kicks off the season of giving each year at a Grizzly football game.  The Griz for Kids Toy Drive was inspired by UM Grizzly football player and center Chris Orwig who said the entire team felt incredible fan support from the community and he wanted to find a way to give back. In order to assist the Mountain of Giving program, he helped organize the first toy drive at a Griz game in 2005. For over 20 years, the University of Montana and Grizzly Athletics have continued to support the Griz for Kids Toy Drive.
